F.A.Q. - Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between becoming a TEAM school or becoming a certified Presenter in a school (camp or shul) setting?
A certified presenter...
  • Can offer classes in one or more schools to one or more groups of her choice or for an after-school enrichment program, as long as the school or class is registered with Project TEAM.
  • Can volunteer or receive pay through the school administration or PTA.
  • Purchases and maintains the rights over the TEAM materials and not the school.
  • Receives 4 free training passes (first year only) for educators involved with the children they work with.
    A TEAM school...
  • Receives free training (first year only) for all staff of TEAM classrooms.
  • Usually will implement TEAM in all classes ages 4-7. The results will be far more tangible, affecting the entire school culture.
  • The school purchases and maintains the rights over the TEAM materials and not the presenter.
What is a presenter?
This is the person who assumes responsibility for implementing Project TEAM. This is the person who will read the materials, present the puppet shows, adjust the editable newsletters and mitzvah notes, and encourage everyone to use the TEAM lessons and vocabulary.
How many years can I use the program for?
Part 1 of the program is appropriate for ages 4-7, parts 2 and 3 are appropriate for ages 4-8. In specific cases it can be used through age 10. It is recommended that it be used for two years in a row within the appropriate age group.
How much preparation is involved?
It’s like learning a new language, and will require more effort and time in the first year of use. It will take approximately one to two hours to prepare a unit the first year it’s done.  Once you become accustomed to the program, however, it will become much simpler and preparation time will be less than half that time.
What’s the difference between getting the whole thing or only a part of it?
Each unit contains enough material for two presentations. You can choose to proceed slowly and thoroughly through the units, or focus on a simplified version of a new unit each week. Based on your style of presenting is how many parts you will need. It’s fine to begin with Part 1 and then purchase more when you are ready.
When will I receive the TEAM materials and puppets?
TEAM's materials are updated yearly and printed on demand.  It will take 2-3 weeks for all your materials to arrive.
Who has to train and what is the fee?
The TEAM presenter and all educators of TEAM classrooms. The first year as part of the program includes free training. New educators involved in future years will require training for a fee of $18.00 per person, and new presenter/s for a fee of $50.00 per person.
